Best week ever!
getting shown some love on The Foreign Exchange’s website! and this was the best live show I’ve seen, incidentally.

The Green Bean was the venue for another collab with The Dotmatrix Project!
Israel Darling & The Brand New Life performed and the crowd was deep. This spot is a very intimate venue, you feel like you’re almost a part of the band.

I was there in Date capacity with the sweetie, but since it’s my favorite group, I would be remiss if I didn’t get off a few shots. It was a heck of a night.

Sean Coon, Elizabeth Lemon, Donald Ravonne Gaye, Louis Bekoe and I got on the road on a Friday night up to Durham on some Dotmatrix Project business – to shoot Max Indian, The Light Pines and Ryan Gustafson performing at the Duke Coffeehouse. We’d been expecting snow and got it and it was heavy on the road.
The wife called me with weather updates all the way down, and while I was there wanted to know how bad it was. We thought we might have to get a room overnight when the snowfall would increase occasionally. Once indoors, we were in our element - shooting and recording, and I was happy for the opportunity. Thankfully Sean’s 4×4 proved to be an able steed and we made it there and back safely with a stop @ IHOP in Burlington. Thank you again for breakfast!
Here are some captured moments in between.

CharlesMedia Photography is presenting a new Portrait Profiles piece called “Strength of the Week”!
We will highlight individuals of note with a portrait session and they will share with us their strengths. “Kween” is a talented artist I’ve worked with before, and I asked her to have her and some of her friends model some of her jewelry pieces. Enjoy the bio and shots from the session! (thanks to Amelia, Khalilah, Rhasheah and Tiffany for being excellent models to work with!)
Name: Jennifer “KWEEN” Moore
Occupation: Jewelry Designer of Urban Kween Collekshun Jewelry (ukcjewelry.com)
Your Strength: Going to the drawing board without any sketches for design. I’ve always had an open hand and eye for designing without being constrained to space, where form and perspective run free. Thats what I love about being an artist, its endless and the outcomes are never predicted.
